After a three-year break, Mutya ng Pilipinas is returning to the pageant scene and recently held a press launch to announce what is in store for its 52nd edition.
At the press launch, Mutya chairman Fred Yuson and its president Cory Qurino announced that they will be redefining the meaning of women’s empowerment by translating it to living purposefully. The organization plans to highlight sustainability and inclusivity among women as the ultimate agent of change.
“There is no better time than now for beauty pageants to become a more relevant platform to uplift and support the future of the women of the Philippines by extolling the virtues of and enhancing the potential of the Filipina,” Cory said.
Fred on the other hand shared he’s looking forward to meeting the 40 candidates they will get for the competition.
“I am in support of the new and dynamic direction of Mutya Ng Pilipinas.”
Reigning Mutya ng Pilipinas titleholder Klyza Castro was also present at the launch. She told the media that’s excited to pass the crown after being a titleholder for close to 3 years.
