Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow will make a side visit to Davao City upon arriving in the country for the Miss Universe Philippines finals where she will host alongside Pia Wurtzbach and Iris Mittenaere.
Speaking with Miss Universe Philippines Communications Director Voltaire Tayag, Demi said she will visit the Tebow CURE Hospital, which was put up by her husband former athlete Tim Tebow.
“The Philippines is a very special place to my husband and me. It was the first place I visited as Miss Universe 2017, and my husband was actually born in the Philippines so it’s very close to our hearts,” she said. ” The Tebow Cure Hospital physical and spiritual healing to children in need of orthopedic surgeries.”
Demi also said that another place close to them is the Village of Hope and she’s looking forward to the other organizations they will visit during their stay.
The second South African Miss Universe winner said she is also excited to get to meet the candidates and Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu, who will be coming to Manila as a guest.
But aside from the work, Demi said she’s excited to try more Filipino food.
“Definitely mango and sticky rice,” she said when asked about her favorite delicacies. The Philippines has some of the best mangoes I’ve ever tasted.”
