Maureen Montagne was announced as one of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas 2020 Candidates last February 6, at the New Frontier Theater, Araneta City in Quezon City. Among around 70 hopefuls, Maureen Montagne was called first out of the forty girls who made it through this year’s competition.
Coming into the competition, Maureen Montagne knows a lot is expected of her. Before she joined Binibining Pilipinas this year, she was Miss Eco International 2019 1st Runner-up. She earned the right to compete in the pageant by winning Miss Eco International Philippines 2018 next to the pageant’s eventual winner Katarina Rodriguez.
However, her stint in pageantry didn’t just start there.
In 2017, she was judged 1st Runner-up in America’s Miss World, who chooses United States’ representative to Miss World 2017.
She was actually a candidate in Miss USA 2015 and made it to the Top 15. It was the year when eventual Miss Universe 2015 2nd runner-up Olivia Jordan won Miss USA. She represented Arizona after winning the local pageant in 2014.
Prior to joining both pageants, Maureen Ann Montagne finished third in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013.
With lots of achievement under her wings, will Maureen Montagne be successful in getting a crown, moreso, the top plum – Binibining Pilipinas International 2020?
We will find out the result of Maureen Montagne Binibining Pilipinas journey on April 26, 2020 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
