Today, winners of the Head-to-Head Challenge Round 1 are paired up to face-off in presenting their skills as an advocate.
Miss World has been known for a pageant to advocate for good will and charitable causes. These endeavors have been formalized as the “Beauty with a Purpose” project.
Each delegate sent to Miss World are required to have a project that aims to fund certain causes.
To advance in the Top 30 of Miss World, the delegates who won the first round of the head-to-head challenge spars against another delegate to determine which has the superior advocate skills.
Miss Philippines Katarina Rodriguez will be competint against Miss Venezuela. This is interesting considering that both countries are traditionally considered as a pageant powerhouse.
This is not the first time the two countries met in a pivotal situation. A few weeks ago, Philippines and Venezuela made the top 2 of Miss International 2018.
Rodriguez whose Beauty with a Purpose project is about the children of Marawi hopes to establish peace education to the previously war-torn city.
Each delegates are given 90 seconds to speak as for their Beauty with a Purpose advocacy.
Winners will be determined by Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle, and the reigning Miss World Manushi Chillar

- HEAT 6 – MYANMAR VS INDIA
- HEAT 7 – NEPAL VS SINGAPORE
- HEAT 8 – THAILAND VS BULGARIA
- HEAT 9 – MEXICO VS TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
- HEAT 10 – ARGENTINA VS UGANDA
Winners of each heat will automatically move on to Top 30. 👑
