It’s that time of the year again where eight UAAP schools fight for Cheerdance Supremacy!
UE Pep Squad
First up are the UE Pep Squad who are still basking at last year’s podium finish at 3rd place.
This year they perform with a Pintados theme as they tribute to the ethnic tribes matched with very Filipino tribal music.

After a slow start, they managed to pick up the tempo and end with a statement formation.
UP Pep squad
Promising an #IskulayNgSablay performance, the UP Pep Squad showed their signature angst as they danced for their many campuses across the Philippines.

Marred with some slight errors in the beginning, UP fought back to regain fighting form.
Unfortunately, the UP Pep squad relied too much on gimmickry than actual cheerdance stunts.
This is not the UP Pep Squad that we know.
UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe
It’s #DivaStoTomas as the SDT danced with Beyonce as their inspiration.

Wearing yellow conductor uniform, their dancers boasted of good group stunts much to the loud cheers of the big UST crowd.
The UST SDT showed what they are famous for: good mix of dance and cheer.
DLSU Animo Squad
#NicestKidsInTown, the DLSU Animo Squad danced with the theme of Hairspray.
Bringing back the 70’s in green-and-white, the Animo squad went off with a slow start unable to finish their stunts flawlessly.
With lots of errors the Animo squad will likely miss the podium this year.
NU Pep Squad
This year, the NU Pep Squad guns for a #ComeBark and they plan to do that with a theme inspired by the Mexican “Day of the Dead” routine.
Hungry for their fifth crown, NU seeks retribution with explosive stunts to begin their routine.
Talk about choosing the right theme!!!! 👏 #Coco #NU #UAAPCDC2018 pic.twitter.com/tkoyVwcU5R

There was never a dull moment in their choreography. Theie group stunts are flawless. Dance routine are well thought out and the music very compelling.
Their end routine is everything!
Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion
With a Disney-filled theme, dancing to the tune of Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Moana, Frozen, Ateneo looks to break into the podium this year.

Podium finish was ten years ago and if the Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion breaks into the podium they deserve it because of their flawless performance.
Their costumes and props are the best this year.
FEU Pep Squad
Bringing back the funk is the FEU Cheering Squad! The green and gold charges with their funky performance.

FEU’s dancers were on fire as they performed a flawless routine with an equally entertaining 70’s music.
Adamson Pep Squad
Last year’s champion end the show with the dancers from the Pride in a Lion King-inspired routine.

With the flaws at the beginning, it looks like back-to-back is a dim future. Last year’s performance was so much better as the music was comparably less compelling. 👑
